Funeral service for Frank Joyce Ball, 81, will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the Fletcher First Assembly of God Church with Reverend Joe Price officiating. Burial will follow at the Fletcher Cemetery under the direction of the Fletcher Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
     Mr. Ball passed away Friday, November 18, 2011, in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Frank Joyce Ball was born June 11, 1930 in Fletcher, OK to Clinton and Dora (Laging) Ball. He lived in the Sterling and Fletcher area most of his life. Frank married Thelma Keck on October 8, 1949 in Fletcher. The couple was married for 57 years when Thelma passed away in 2007. Frank owned Ball Drilling for years. Frank operated and worked for various oilfield endeavors all his life. He also enjoyed raising cattle and sheep and fishing and hunting.
     Frank is survived by 2 sons: Johnny Ball and Mike Ball both of Fletcher; 3 daughters: Barbara Schettler and her husband Bill, Marilyn High and her husband Joe all of Sterling, and Sandy Schettler and her husband Darrin of Henderson, NV; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews
     He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Dora Ball; his wife, Thelma Ball; 2 sons: Frankie Jr. and Ricky Ball; 2 brothers: James and Robert Ball; and 2 sisters: Viola Russell and Dorothy Chain.
