- By preplanning, are the prices locked in?
- Yes. By preplanning today, you can save on tomorrow’s inevitably higher prices.
- Do I have to pay now?
- No. Some people first pre-plan their funeral, making the major decisions that need to be made. Then, perhaps when they are more financially able, pay for the funeral, either in a lump-sum or using monthly payments. If you have pre-planned with us and decide to make payments, we do not charge interest on the unpaid balance. We have payment options to fit any budget - please contact us to see which option is best for you.
- Am I locked into the Funeral home I pre-plan with?
- No. Preplanned funerals are state regulated. Funeral homes are required to allow you the option of transferring your pre-planned funeral to another funeral home. Transferring is simple. If you have made pre-arrangements with another funeral home and wish to transfer to us, please give us a call and let us take care of the legwork.
- What happens if I am still paying on a prearrangegment plan and I die?
- If you have chosen an insurance product to fund the prearrangement, the balance will be automatically paid. If a funeral trust is chosen, the family must pay the
balance. There are advantages and disadvantages to both payment options, but
all of them can be addressed at the prearrangement conference so that you can make
the best possible decision.
